Apparently there is something called e-safety day, 9th February. Launched a few years ago, in 2015 the event attracted over 900 news articles across the BBC, Sky news and national newspapers.
Last year at school the children designed e-safety posters to encourage others to think how to stay safe. Through the next couple of weeks we will plan how to recognise this year’s special e-safety day.
There is plenty to like about living in the information age. Not least having access to BugClub, Mathletics and MyMaths means you have plenty of choice in supporting school learning at home.
However, it is worthwhile taking the opportunity regularly to discuss boundaries. There is plenty of advice and resources out there to help you have these conversations as children grow. Amazing as Superhero SID might be, older children might prefer discussions about kindness online, blocking and reporting.
