It has been an exciting week in 1CC. It was wonderful to use our new interactive whiteboard to find out more about the Solar Eclipse. We had a good look outside, although we noticed it was getting cold and dark, unfortunately the weather wasn’t quite playing fair.
Through the rest of the week we did some science experiments using ice balloons.
We noticed how warm water caused the ice to melt quickly, cold water or washing up liquid didn't seem to do very much. It was fascinating to use food colouring to help see the ice melt, finally we watched as we shone light through our ice balloons.
All the children were very careful to avoid getting the food colouring on their clothes, Mr Powell will be more careful next time! We had so much fun and learnt how to make observations during experiments.
