We have been having so much fun and learning lots in 4AS, from fractions, to Shakespeare and so much more. Our Central Idea this half term is linked to how we express ourselves and make our presence felt. As you can imagine, this has tied in well to our preparations for this term’s Spring Production, as well as exploring our other performance and design skills. When we worked with Bob and Michael from the NIE Theatre Company, we imagined our characters as different animals, to help us get into role. In addition, we have used figurative language, including similes, metaphors and personification to write our own storm poems. We have started to create a mood and ideas board to design costumes for different characters in The Tempest. We have also been working hard to memorise more of our times table and division facts and work with fractions and decimal numbers that include tenths and hundredths and converting between different units of measurement. |
