This week in Science we pretended to be blood cells. The school was the human body and we had to act as plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. As plasma our job was to help other cells travel around the body (school), as red blood cells our job was to carry oxygen (resources) around the body (school), as white blood cells our job was to protect our body from intruders such as bacteria, and as platelets our job was to form blood clots to repair the body. By doing this we learned a lot of new things about blood. Then we used orange squash, strawberry jelly, white chocolate buttons and raspberry bon bons to represent the different cells and create a model of blood. It was so much fun!
