As a school, we recently observed Safer Internet Day. This is a special day where we make a special effort to think about how our actions online, using devices or playing games can have real world consequences. We make a persistent effort to mention this topic at least once a term and whenever relevant during our Computing lessons.
This half term, Year 3 have been finding out how networks work. This including discussing how communication has developed over the last two hundred years. Up until a couple of generations ago, most people did not have phones in their houses, now many people have multiple digital communication devices.
Other year groups have enjoyed the opportunity to get creative in Computing lessons. Notably in recent weeks, Year 4 have been busy creating music tracks! It is great to consider the world of opportunities that modern technology can provide us with, so long as we embrace these in an appropriate and safe way.
