In English we have been using our knowledge of non-chronological reports to create our own one which includes a hybrid animal which we have created; we have fused two creatures together to make one amazing animal. We have had a variety of hybrid animals including: a fusion of a Gopher Turtle and a Side-Striped Jackal – named a ‘Tackal’; a Shark and a tortoise; a seal and a seahorse and many more peculiar animals.
During our foundation sessions, we have been comparing and contrasting technologies from the early 20th century with those of the current day: we have looked at what early televisions and radios look like; what an original vacuum cleaner looked like as well as irons and cooking utensils.
We have continued our weekly tests, sometimes including past SATs papers; the children complete their weekly tests in their sets and the teachers aim to provide the pupils with their results before the end of the week. These tests are sent home so they can review their test results as well as look where they may need to improve.
